John William N. Hawley Sr Passed away peacefully on July 9, 2023 at 11:50 pm at his home at the age of 78. Born January 28, 1946 in Highland Park, Michigan, John led a fulfilling life dedicated to his family and friends and community.
Despite facing challenges with Dyslexia that nobody knew he had, he taught himself how to read since the school system pushed him through the system. He never let challenges stop him. He never let obstacles hinder his success. He excelled in life and opened his own Glass business after many years of learning different trades. He was a skilled carpet layer and Glazier. He built homes for his family and friends. As a Father, Husband, Brother and business owner he inspired many with his resilience and determination. John's impact on his community was profound, he generously shared his knowledge and skills to empower others to succeed.
A devoted family man John is survived by Wife Tammy Hawley, Son John Hawley Jr, Daughter Robin Jackson, Granddaughter Felicia Hall, Grandson Blaine Hall and wife Gaby. Soon he was to be a Great Grandfather which he was trying to stay alive to see but God wanted him sooner than that. Also Brother Jim Snow, Sister Cathy McMillian, Sister Ruthann Pitcher. He cherished his family deeply and was there to offer support, guidance and a helping hand.
John's generosity knew no bounds and his willingness to go above and beyond for those he cared about was unparalleled. He took pride in his ability to support his loved ones quietly and without seeking recognition, embodying the true essence of selflessness and compassion.
