Jan White - 2016 Biography
(Family)
Karen and I have four kids; Ryan (44) with two boys, Noah (5) and Nixon (3). Ryan is a Federal law enforcement officer. Heather (43) is an educator (2nd grade) and has two children, Owen (11) and McKenna (9). Erik (32) is an orthopedic surgeon and was married last year, and Jan-Michael (31) is a project manager in the oil and gas industry and was married in 2013. We have a golden-doodle named Zoe who just turned eight. The goldfish died in July (finally!)
(Work)
Karen and I still own a software company and I still work full-time with no immediate plans to retire. Karen has a much harder job taking care of the home as well as all the landscaping, yard mowing, leaf raking and doting on the grandkids. Living in Traverse City, we pretty much have guests 24/7 during the summer months which is a ton of hard work. My work ends when I go home, her's doesn't end until everything is done!
(Other Things)
I still have a few classic cars which always seem to need something fixed and I'm also restoring an old motorcycle. I try and do some woodworking, but not much time for that. I still enjoy working with computers and all the Internet technology. We're blessed with good health overall, except for the stupid arthritis in my left thumb!
