Jan White - 1995 Biography

Karen and I still live in the same house, have the same cars, the same kids, and pretty much pay the same bills (mortgages ever end?).  Our oldest boy, Ryan, graduated from Western Michigan in December '94 with his BS degree, majoring in Criminal Justice and is in the process of going to work for the U.S. Border Patrol and will be based in San Diego chasing illegal aliens.  Heather graduated from  Michigan State in May of this year majoring in Elementary Education.  She has a year of graduate work / student teaching to do yet and hopefully will be a teacher in "96 (student loans ever end?).

Erik is eleven and will be entering 6th grade in the fall.  He, fortunately, doesn't take after his dad, and does real well in school (all A's so far). Jan-Michael is nine and will be going to 4th grade come school time, he always seems to be the "Teacher's Pet" and has ton's of friends.  He continues to have problems with his name, everyone gets it wrong!  Both little guys love fishing and have tons of poles, lures and whatnot at their disposal, and spend nearly every waking moment during the summer months in our little aluminum boat fishing.  If not fishing, they are swimming, clamming, or catching and eating crayfish (they boil 'em like lobsters! yuk!).  They are brown as beans by summer's end!  They both love sports of all kinds and will be on touch football teams this fall.

Karen and I stay busy carting the guys around for soccer (mostly Karen).  They are both on traveling teams and have tournaments in Midland, Ann Arbor, Petoskey and other cities.  Lots of practices and scrimmages to take them to.  It's almost a full time job.  How Karen does all this, taking care of the house and kids, and putting up with my lifestyle, is beyond me.

We still have Janco International, Inc., and like all business owners, work tons of hours and are perpetually under capitalized! (payrolls ever end?).  Overall, life has been kind to us.  Other than typical American problems and challenges, we are blessed with great kids (never in trouble or into drugs) and, most importantly, so far we are all enjoying good health.  Karen is on the treadmill 3 or 4 times a week, and I have been running 3 miles a day, 4 days a week for the past couple of years.
