Kathy Miller - 1985 Biography

I have a daughter Christa Lyn who will be 12 on August 1st. She will be entering 7th grade in the fall. I also have a son Curtis Michael who was 7 in April and will be a busy 1st grader. As of January 22 I joined Grand Canyon State Bank in Gilbert, Arizona. I was responsible for all New Accounts and processing. Recently (June 15th) I have been promoted to Operation Supervisor in charge of New Accounts and Customer Service Departments. It's an exciting new bank organizaton having 3 branches and growing tremendously.

After 2 years in college, I worked at a portrait studio in East Lansing where I met and married my husband. We moved twice (Owasso and Frankenmuth) before settling in Alma opening our own portrait business. I was involved with all aspects in the operation of the studio until our divorce. 1983-84 I lived in Haslett working for a portrait studio in East Lansing. With much persuasion from family and friends, my children and I moved to sunny and warm (hot) Arizona, arriving New Years Day 1985. I have been actively involved in our church; choir, Sunday School, Bible School and many money making projects. I have put on seminars and have been a participant state-wide in the photographic field. I was Art Guild president and member of BPW. I have continued with my art background, contracting art enhancements and air brushing for portrait and commercial photographers. I enjoy raising my children, the outdoor life and traveling, seeing all the wonders of Arizona now, even though Michigan will always be in my heart!

I'm doing my best to come to the reunion, hopefully wee you on the 20th.
