Phyllis House - Memorbilia

  • Memorbilia: Hotel New Yorker
Postcard of the Hotel New Yorker where the class stayed while in New York.
  • Memorbilia: The cover of the 1953 Yearbook (I'm on it!)
The 1953 yearbook cover has a picture of 4 kindergarten students on the front cover. Phyllis House, Tom Yuill, Joan Criske and Jeffrey Conway. I received the book, because I was on the cover that year. Gaylord Rural Agricultural School was the name of the school then.
  • Memorbilia: The United Nations Building in New York
  • Memorbilia: The UN Assembly Hall
I took the information off the postcard: There are seats for 626 delegates, 270 observers, and 234 members of the press and 800 visitors. The murals in the General Assembly Hall are the work of French artist Fernand Le'ger.
  • Memorbilia: World's Fair
One of the entrances to the 1965 New York World's Fair.
